My life has been full of creative experiences

Yucong Li is a Graphic Designer trying to expand the voices and expressions with the help of graphic design to people. I chose graphic design to create living arts that speaks to people. I have a passion for visual storytelling and a hunger for learning, I'm on a journey to bring creativity to life.

In my mind, I saw that every person and designer has a unique and creative mind of their own, and that’s what makes graphic designers special. As a graphic designer myself, throughout my life, I have been introduced and self-taught drawings from small characters into now designing visual communications. All those years of drawing and designing, it has made my eyes see the world from many perspectives and enjoy them in different ways.

Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education

Graphic Designer | 6 Months CO-OP | Philadelphia, PA

- Designed visual materials that support the Center’s mission of connecting people with nature and encouraging environmental appreciation and stewardship.
- Designed visual assets for events and programs, including posters, signage, and digital graphics.
- Worked closely with educators and staff to ensure designs matched educational goals and the Center’s vision of helping people play, learn, and grow with nature.
- Created designs for a wide range of audiences, including preschool children, students, families, educators, and the general public.

Drexel Chinese Students
& Scholars Association

Graphic Designer | Philadelphia, PA

- Design posters, flyers, and promotional materials for various events organized by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association at Drexel
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite like Photoshop and Illustrator to create visually appealing designs tailored to the target audience
- Work closely with event organizers to understand their vision and effectively communicate key messages through design

Running Leader | Philadelphia, PA

- Organize and lead group running practices for high school students and transforms students’ lives through running, mentorship and healthy lifestyles
- Demonstrate leadership and communication skills by effectively guide and motivate youth runners during practice and workout
- Collaborate with school teachers and community partners to promote student running programs and race events

October 2019 - June 2022

FIRST Tech Challenge

CAD Designer | Philadelphia, PA

- Collaborated with team members to strategize and execute effective competition plans, improve teamwork and communication skills
- Designed, built, and programmed robots to compete in various challenges, demonstrate problem-solving abilities and technical proficiency
- Utilized CAD software to create strengthen and functional components for robots, showcase creativity and attention to detail
